Storyboarder doesn't have a server. There is no "we" on the other end. Your stories, API key, characters, locations, and generated images stay on your device — in your browser's IndexedDB for the web app at friedmomo.com/app/, or in a ~/Storyboarder folder for the desktop build. We can't see any of it, because there's nothing to see it with.

The one thing that leaves your device

When you ask for a story or an image, your browser sends that prompt — over HTTPS, using your OpenRouter key — straight to OpenRouter. OpenRouter processes it and charges a few cents against your account. That's the same path you'd take using openrouter.ai directly. Their privacy policy covers what happens on their side: openrouter.ai/privacy.

No crash reports, no accounts, no cookies.

One small exception: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count aggregate visits so we know whether anyone is using the site. It doesn't set cookies, doesn't track individuals across pages, and doesn't follow you around the internet. The data we see is limited to page views, referrers, country, and approximate device class — nothing that identifies you.
